Government-Operated School Advocates SUPPORT ESAs Now?

My latest blog post from over at my “day job” at NewsTalk 550 KFYI … in which a “concern troll” seeks to influence your opinion of Arizona’s Empowerment Scholarship Accounts (ESAs).

JunkMan Uncaged Podcast #001

Finally … and it’s about time.  This summer has been a whirlwind for me – maybe I shouldn’t have chosen to pursue this podcast right now, but with the impending election and all the craziness in our world, I simply had to do it.  So now that I’m out from under the massive stack of stuff that accumulated during our epic Alaska adventure, here is the official, formal, honest-to-goodness first episode of the JunkMan Uncaged podcast.  It is not a test podcast.  It is not a trial podcast.  This is the genuine article, and in it, President Obama calls to wish me good luck with the podcast.  Here are the details:

Proud Dad Alert: Maybe The Cutest Kid In The World?

I may be a little biased, but I think my youngest kiddo is the cutest seven year old in the world.  In support of that notion I present you with this little interview in which he describes how he landed a salmon fishing from a pier in Juneau, Alaska.  You can judge his cuteness for yourself …

The Countdown Begins …

I’m off to Alaska on summer vacation with the family and upon my arrival back home, the JunkMan Uncaged blog/podcast will commence daily operations.  We’re absolutely stoked about it!

Monday, July 21st, 2014 is the official launch.  We hope you’ll join us to celebrate our “grand opening”!

Houston, all systems are go and we have green lights across the board.

Commence countdown …

JunkMan Uncaged Podcast Episode #0

Here’s JunkMan Uncaged Podcast Episode #0, a little lengthier installment with actual, real content!  It’s a day late (6/25/14 podcast on 6/26/14 – sorry!)

I would deeply appreciate if you’d give it a listen and comment on it.  It’s a work in progress, in need of further polish, but we’re now moving in the right direction, and nearly ready to roll out the first formal and official episode in the next day or two.

Please do comment right here at, and also email me at  I’m seeking ideas … I want to know what you think and what kind of content you’d like to hear and any other ideas you may have, so your comments are valuable to me – good, bad, and ugly.

Thanks for your patience as the blog podcast ramp up to full speed.  My goal is for you to make a daily must-visit.  Stick with me as the improvements and enhancements come along – I’m confident that you’ll not only get important news each day, but also a fresh perspective that reflects the idea that we will do best by reducing impingements upon our natural freedoms as much as possible.

Thanks for listening – I look forward to hearing from you

We’re Getting Close!

You may have noticed that I’m now getting down to the final details of the actual blog/website (click and check out the snazzy new tabs across the top – everything you ever wanted to know about me and the legal policies of this website!)

Within the next day or two at most, I’ll have another podcast episode … probably the final “test” episode to confirm that feeds are working correctly, etc. etc.

I appreciate your patience as this thing (slowly) comes together.  I have taken care to make sure that all the details are bolted down in advance, so once the content starts flowing, I won’t have (as many) technical or logistical issues to deal with.  I want to be able to focus 100% of my efforts on the content – the whole reason why people read or tune in.  I will work hard to make sure you will be informed and incited by the content.  I promise you won’t be disappointed.

The padlock and chain have been removed, and the cage door is ever so slightly open.

Before you know it – I will emerge completely uncaged.

Here we go . . .

Happy Father’s Day

This one is for all my homies – suburban and exurban dads who love their families more than they love life itself.  To my East Valley Wrecking Crew and Band of Brothers Bible study groups and the dads of BSA Troop 923 and my co-workers (especially brand new first-time dad @AndrewBabinski), and all my other dad buddies, Happy Father’s Day … the role you play in this world is vastly greater than you know. Enjoy …
